In Baku, more ATMs than in areas of the country
Number of regional ATM by May 1, 1015 amounted to - service terminals are just so many residents of the country. This is slightly less than the number of ATMs in Baku - the capital is set one thousand 316 units of this equipment, - the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
In total, according to the Central Bank, established 2331 ATMs (+3.1% compared with the beginning of this year).
Increase in the number of pos-terminals was marked at trade and services. This balance is disturbed in favor of the capital, where 89.94% of the funds used (33 268 thousand) non-cash payment. In areas there is less demand because pos-terminals (3 812 thousand) are in the popular tourist centers and major cities. It is noteworthy that decline was marked in Baku, and in the areas growth was in the installation of this kind of technology. - 17D-

Russia and Iran have agreed on a gas pipeline route passing through Azerbaijan, according to Russia’s Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov. The Russian minister stated that the parties are in the final stage of negotiations, and the volumes have already been determined. According to Tsivilyov, Iran’s agreement with Russia’s Gazprom for gas supply via Azerbaijan is currently estimated at over 2 billion cubic meters annually. However, future supplies could increase to 55 billion cubic meters per year.
