In November 8895 cars imported
Baku/19.12.13/Turan : Within 11 months of this year Azerbaijan imported 93,686 units of vehicles. This is 0.9% more than in the same period in 2012 ( 92,828 ) . Only in November were imported 8,895 units of vehicles.
According to the State Customs Committee , so far this year, officials and dealers , as well as individuals on the country delivered 85,174 units of passenger cars (November -8218 ) , which is 3.6 % more than in the past 11 months year.
This year, the decrease in import of motor vehicles for special purposes, buses and trucks . From the beginning, imported 772 units of tractors , excavators, bulldozers , cranes and other motor vehicles, which is 22.6 % less than 11 months in 2012 . Also imported were 740 buses and minibuses (minus 256 ) and 7,000 trucks ( minus 1631) .
Since January 2014 in Azerbaijan the transition to Euro- 3 standard on environmental requirements for motor vehicles . This is expected to affect the volume of imports of used cars to the downside . - 08D -

Rice imports to Azerbaijan have soared to unprecedented levels during the January-November 2024 period, reflecting both rising domestic demand and increasing global food prices. Over this period, the country imported 60,400 tons of rice, marking an 18.6% increase in volume and a 35.3% rise in value compared to the same period in 2023.

Over 17,750 life insurance contracts and 40,661 property insurance contracts were signed through Azerbaijan’s Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund (MCGF) between 2022 and 2024, reflecting the growing role of the Fund in strengthening the housing finance and insurance markets. These figures were revealed by Rasim Abdullayev, Director of the Mortgage Lending Department at MCGF, during the seminar "Tools for Supporting Housing Finance and Entrepreneurship."
