US families save almost $1000 on electric energy
Since 2005 the US families have been saving in average $425-725 a year on electric energy, because gas prices at the local market went down, reads the research of Boston Consulting Group.
By 2020 the size of economy could grow up to $1200. The prices at the local market dropped by almost 50% against 2005, because the companies started development of shelf gas fields.
The prices are expected to stay low within several dozens of years.
“Our study shows that cheap natural gas stronger affects the US family budget, than they think it is. In the coming years the advantages will even grow, because savings caused by gas price reduction will reach the ultimate consumer,” said Justine Rose, partner of Boston Consulting Group.
The US families spend in average about $9,000 on energy consumption. Considering the average income of about $50,000, the costs constitute about 18%. They include the costs for purchase of energy resources, such as gasoline, electric bills and payment for the electricity, which is needed to manufacture products. Two thirds of such costs are indirect.
By 2020 the size of economy will total $1200. Now the Americans save about 30-50% from reduction of gas prices, but by the end of the decade this index will constitute 60-80%, reported http://www.vestifinance.ru.--0--
