Japan launched biggest floating solar power station
The search for alternative power sources for the needs of population and industry is very urgent in Japan after closure of all nuclear reactors.
On November 1, 2013 the Prefecture of Kagosima launched 70 MWt solar power station.
The station is managed by a company created by Kyocera and six other companies. The station will sell the generated power to the local enterprises at the Japanese program of privilege tariffs. The program, which is named “green fee,” was created by the Japanese government in July 2012 as an economic and political mechanism for attraction of investments into the renewable power sources technologies.
In addition to economic benefit of the station, the alternative power is also very important for preservation of ecology of the planet.—0—
