Ilham Aliyev Got Acquainted with Production of Space and Aviation Industry in Turkey
Relations with Turkey are a priority of the foreign policy of Azerbaijan. This was announced by President Ilham Aliyev yesterday, during the meeting in Ankara with Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
"Turkey is the closest to us, friendly, brotherly and allied country. Over the past years, this alliance has risen to a new level. Today, the Turkish-Azerbaijani relations have become an important factor not only for our country but also for the region and the world. The Turkish-Azerbaijani unity is the key factor of regional security and stability," said Aliyev.
"The stronger today is Turkey, the more confident will feel Azerbaijan. We are very pleased that even in the crisis years Turkey has managed to strengthen economic and political stability. Turkey's economy is developing successfully and all its initiatives are implemented. Today Turkey is a center of power on a global scale," he said.
Regarding economic cooperation, Aliyev noted the growth of mutual investments.
In the next five years Azerbaijani investments in the amount of 15-17 billion dollars will be invested in the Turkish economy, said Aliyev.
In the framework of the official visit to Turkey, Aliyev got acquainted with the aerospace industry company. In particular, the heads of state observed the flight of the training aircraft Hurkush and the attack helicopter T129.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed of the unmanned aircraft ANKA. It was noted that the space group of the aerospace company in Turkey carried out the construction of the military satellite Geyturk-1 and the first Turkish satellite to study the earth Geyturk-2. Additionally, since 1987, the company has manufactured the combat aircraft F-16. -06B-
