Krasnoye sormovo plant built oil tanker for Turkmenistan
The oil tanker Kenar built at the Krasnoye Sormovo, Russia, ship-building plant has arrived to the international sea port of Turkmenistan – Turkmenbashi, reported Turkmenistan TV.
The vessel will transport crude oil and oil products and it is equipped with two engines.
The tanker is equipped with 12 isolated from each other tanks, which allow transporting various types of fuel being afloat for almost 20 days.”
The length of the vessel is 140 meters and carrying capacity (deadweight) is 7,100 tons.
It was reported in March 2013 Turkmenistan Service of River and Marine Transport will conclude the contract with Krasnoye Sormovo plant to build and buy two river-sea type vessels to transport oil and oil products with the carrying capacity of 7,100 tons each.
The Russian plant has been cooperating with Turkmenistan four years and has built four tankers for this country. The last tanker was handed over to the customer in May 2012.—0-
