Living wage not to satisfy state employees and retirees again
Cost of Living (116 AZN) for next year will not please public sector retirees again.
In the discussion of the law of Azerbaijan "On the cost of living in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2013," MP Ali Masimov stopped on average subsistence level - 116 manat. In his view, an increase of 8 manat per year is ridiculous. "Imagine that the owner of the allocated funds eats breakfast for 1 AZN, lunch for AZN 2, and dinner for 1 manat. This is AZN 120 per month, and besides this, citizens, either seniors or children or poor state employees, need medications, non-food items, not to mention other natural desires, invitations to wedding parties and other rituals," ironically said the MP from Sheki.
Recall that under the law of Azerbaijan "On the cost of living in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2012," the average cost of living is defined in AZN 108, including AZN 116 for the working-age population, AZN 84 for pensioners and AZN 87 for children.
These figures were in dissonance with the discontent of MP Hadi Rajabli when discussing the cost estimates of the Milli Mejlis for the next year. He wished the Parliament to ensure overseas trips for all the MPs. - 17D-
