Zahid Oruc: "Funds for the funeral of MPs should be spent on compulsory health insurance"
MP Zahid Oruc is unhappy that the cost estimates of the Milli Majlis funds were not included in the regional offices for MPs. "Each of us represents a specific region, and voters have the opportunity to meet with their MPs in Baku." He recommended that 65 million manats intended for funeral services should be spent on compulsory health insurance. It could be, then, a positive example that will spread to other areas, he said.
In this regard, he was supported by Elmira Akhundova. She wished that Parliament paid at least half of the treatment and therapeutic procedures of the deputies. These and other MPs who spoke about their problems did not participate in the discussion of the law on the subsistence level in 2013, which is projected to reach 116 manats a month.
The exception was the deputy Ilham Aliyev, who offered the deputies to take part of the costs themselves. -17D -
