Manat money increased in March by a half percent
The manat monetary base at the end of March 2013 amounted to 10195.1 million manat, an increase in the reporting month by 153 million or 1.5 percent.
According to the Central Bank, this year, the monetary base has decreased by 319.9 million or 3.1%, and for the past 12 months it increased by 1,847.4 million or 22.1%
The monetary base is the amount of cash and cash commercial banks deposited with the Central Bank as required reserves. With this money the Central Bank fulfills its obligations to the commercial banks and the government. - 15B -
