Moldova is studying the experience of Azerbaijan on the formation of the securities market

Today in Baku a delegation arrives from Moldova to study the experience of formation of the securities market, control and prospects up to 2020. Turan was told by the State Committee for Securities of Azerbaijan.

The delegation is led by Member of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, a member of the Committee on Economic Affairs Yuriy Apostalaki. The delegation consists of members of the Commission on Financial Markets (the state regulator of the securities market), the National Bank, the Stock Exchange and the National Depository of Moldova. During the visit, which will last until the 20th of December, the guests will see the local procedures for licensing of professional participants of the securities market, emissions, handling and storage of the Central Bank.

The securities market in Moldova is similar to its Azerbaijani counterpart. In this country, mostly organized are the stock market and the market for government securities. The stock exchange of the country provides the implementation of transactions in shares over one thousand companies involved in the exchange turnover.

Placement of corporate bonds and their turnover on the stock exchange are not popular. Government securities are comprised of short-term treasury bills and government bonds with maturities of up to 2 years. - 08D-
