Norway issued 65 licenses to offshore fields to 48 companies
During the license round APA 2013 Norway has issued 65 licenses for development of oil and gas fields on the shelf of the country to 48 companies and 29 companies have obtained the status of the operator, said Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).
Of the distributed section 38 ones are located in the North Sea, 19 ones in the Norwegian Sea and 8 ones in the Barents Sea. “The oil companies are naturally still interested in further explorations works on the mature developed fields,” said Sissel Eriksen, NPD Director.
Norwegian Statoil company has obtained 10 licenses, 7 of which for the operator status. Majority of the sections are located in the North Sea.—0—

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has opened a representative office in Albania and is set to launch a specific project this year, the Albanian company "Albgaz" announced.
