Online community revealed financial crimes in the sphere of social assistance
In the first half of 2014 in 12 regions of Azerbaijan there were revealed facts of abuse of granting social assistance. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, 647 families were arbitrarily numbered among the categories of the poor, on the basis of what they spent 710,310 manat.
The talk is about the Aghdam, Goranboy, Imishli, Saatli, Masalli, Lerik, Jalilabad, Bilasuvar, Sumgait, Oguz, Khazar and Dashkesan areas, said at today's press conference the head of state welfare services Chingiz Aliyev. In identifying the theft, a special role was played by the list of names of targeted social aid recipients on the web page of the Ministry. The alert neighbors helped officials with the identification of the crimes, he added.
According to the results of the inspections, illegal allocation of social assistance was suspended and 344,571 manat (48.5% of the embezzled funds) returned to the budget. In this regard, ministry officials in five areas were dismissed, they were sent to the General Prosecutor's Office. -17D-
