Opinion of Sumgait Executive Power on local salary is too high
At the recently held meeting of the Executive Power of Sumgayit on the socio-economic development in the first half of the year, presented false data. Trying to wishful thinking, the city administration has stated that the average monthly salary is 15% more than in the whole country.
Deputy head of the Oriental city of Sumgait Sahib Guliyev said at the meeting that the average monthly wage in the city is 470 manats, an increase compared to the same period last year by 23.7%. The Office of Statistics Sumgayit told Turan, that they have no data on a semi-index of the average monthly wage in the city. However, in the first quarter in Sumgait on average received 329.5 manat per month. Thus, IV Sumgait "add" to wages in a short period of 43%.
But that's not all. At the meeting it was stated that in Sumgait Technology Park (STP), which employs more than 4,000 people, the average monthly wage is about 600 manat. And in Gilan Textile Park (GTP) with the number of employees 600 people, employees are charged an average of 500 manats. According to Turan, in STP average staff receives no more than 380 manats, while GTP - 250 manats.
In the State Statistics Committee told Turan, that, according to legislation, statistical data on statistical subjects are confidential and may have data on wages of workers were represented in IW Sumgait by the enterprises themselves. Thus, by submitting an inflated salary information of employees, the management of some enterprises is trying to show a false picture about the welfare of the population.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first half of this year, the average monthly salary in Azerbaijan amounted to 408 manat. In this "merit" employees extractive industries, which receive per month more than 1,100 manat. In other sectors of the economy wages are much lower. - 08B-
