Passengers No Longer Fly with AZAL
In January the Azerbaijan airlines transported on domestic and international flights 114.6 thousand passengers, which is 11% less than in the same month last year, the State Statistics Committee said.
Transportation implemented mainly aircraft of the state airline CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines, which accounts for 99.9% of the flights.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January the cost of flying in the local airlines was 22.8% higher than in January last year. The rise in ticket prices is the result of the devaluation of the manat.
It should be noted that in January, the Azerbaijani airlines transported 11.3 thousand tons of cargo mainly outside the country. This cargo increased by 44.9%. --08D-
