Personal Accounts of Mining Companies
In Amsterdam, an international conference is carried out, dedicated to the 10-year anniversary of the International Coalition to Report on Payment. The forum is attended by about 200 representatives of civil society from 50 countries, including Azerbaijan.
A member of the delegation, the representative of the Coalition "Improving Transparency in Extractive Industries" Gubad Ibadoglu told Turan today that the conference adopted a strategy of the Coalition to Report on Payment until 2020.
One of the themes is Improved Reporting Initiative, the Extractive Industries Transparency (EITI) and access to information in the field. According to Ibadoglu, speaking at the conference, the Head of the EITI Secretariat, Jonas said that henceforth the countries - members of the Initiative will face the requirement to disclose the personal records on companies.
The conference welcomed the European Parliament resolution "On the increase of transparency in resource-rich countries." According to this resolution, governments contracting with private companies to the tune of over 80 thousand euros must disclose the information.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
