Petrol excises in Azerbaijan exceeded 100%
After the decision to raise petrol prices made by the Tariff Council, the petrol excises went up.
Azerbaijani Deputy Finance Minister Azer Bayramov told Fineko that after the Tariff Council decision, excises of some oil products exceeded 100% of their wholesale cost.
“Excises of all types of petrol exceed 100% and other oil products are below this level. In 2014 the state budget of Azerbaijan will take into consideration the last increase in fuel prices. Owing to that, the state budget will receive hundreds of millions AZN more,” Bayramov said.
On December 2, 2013 the Tariff Council has increased AI-95 petrol price up to 0.80 AZN, AI-92 and AI-80 – 0.70 AZN and diesel fuel – 0.60 AZN.—0—
