Population census data is presented to users – Deputy chairman of the SSC
Baku/13.12.22/Turan: The population census data from October 2019 was published according to the schedule in August this year in 30 volumes and presented to users. Deputy Chairman of the State Statistics Committee Yusif Yusifov told Turan about this.
"Based on the relevant information about its results, the provision of current accounting data on an annual basis will be provided through electronic information resources after the end of 2022," he said.
When it comes to the reflection of the population census data in the statistical report for 2021, the representative of the SSC said that when the statistical compilations for 2021 were published, the publication of census data according to the schedule was not fully completed, by that time, i.e. until August, some statistical reports were published. "Therefore, according to the results of 2021, the data of the previous census from 2009 were given. Otherwise, there will be confusion among users. We will prepare and present all statistics with due regard for the last census, starting next month," Yu. Yusifov emphasized.
For instance, the SSC of Azerbaijan has published a report on population statistics for 2021. At that, the agency notes that the current population count was based on the results of the 2009 census. Moreover, the number of people born in this area and who came to permanent residence was added to the population, and the number of those who died and moved from this area was subtracted. After the results of the last population census conducted in 2019 are ready, appropriate clarifications will be given on the number and composition of the population for the periods that have passed since the previous census, the SSC notes.
To remind, there were 46 questions in the census questionnaire, and 6 questions in the census leaflet. The purpose of the population census was to obtain detailed information about the number of households and families, residential buildings and houses, and other buildings used for residence. The questionnaire indicated such questions as gender, age, place of birth, citizenship, national (ethnic) affiliation, native language and language proficiency, marital status, permanent or temporary residence at the time of the census, level of education, sources of income, employment, disability, reasons for internal displacement and emigration of the interviewee, etc. -08B-
