Press service of the Ministry of Communications does not confirm the dismissal of the Minister
The information published by some media about today's dismissal of Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communications and high-tech, was not confirmed. The head of the press service of the Ministry Mushfig Amirov denied these reports. "The minister is in his cabinet, and performs his functions," he said in an interview with Turan, commenting on the dismissal of the minister.
Earlier were arrested two high-ranking employees of the agency - Baitullah Huseynov and Vidadi Zeynalov. The first was the head of the Baku telephone network, and the second - the head of the Office of the Minister.
They are both involved in the scandal of the illegal tapping of senior officials of the country, organized by the Ministry of National Security. -0В-
