Schneider Electric Holds Seminar on Advanced Technologies in Baku
The world's leading supplier of integrated solutions for energy efficiency in many market segments, the global Schneider Electric held a seminar on advanced technologies with the participation of about 100 representatives of public, private and educational enterprises in Baku today.
"We offer customers efficient solutions for energy management and energy systems, and therefore, despite the global economic crisis, we have achieved a high level of sales, including in Azerbaijan," said the manager of Schneider Electric in the countries of Central Asia Amrah Tekdemir.
The company's products have been represented in Azerbaijan since 1994 and the regional office has operated in Baku since 2006. In recent times it has participated in the implementation of projects on construction of the Baku International Sea Trade Port, the Gobustan wind power stations, substations and distribution systems in the new draft of the residential complex White City, sports facilities for the I European Games, etc.
During the seminar, representatives of the Baku office of Schneider Electric talked about smart panels, automation products, IT products and solutions, control systems for buildings, etc.
Schneider Electric provides all possible assistance to the development of education in Azerbaijan. A striking example of such cooperation is equipment of maintenance shops in Sumgait State University. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
