Shah-Deniz-2 to lift energy tension in a big region, says Turkish minister Taner Yildiz
The European Union member-states will benefit from the Shah-Deniz-2 project, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said at the ceremony of signing of a final investment decision on the Shah-Deniz-2 project in Baku.
He said the project will bring stability to the countries of the region. “This is not only connected with economy. The Shah-Deniz-2 project will not only satisfy the needs of Turkey in gas, but also the needs of the EU member-states in gas.
“Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines have been built. But this is not enough. The Shah-Deniz-2 project will solve the problem of gas supply,” Yildiz added.
Turkish Minister also said that Turkey welcomes regional cooperation and it will continue participating in similar projects.—0—
