State tax on transactions with a motor vehicle increased
From 1 January 2013 came into force a new state fee for transactions with vehicles, many of which increased by 2 times. The head of state on the application of the Law on Amendments to the Law of Azerbaijan Republic "On State Duty" was signed on 29 December 2012.
Since January 1 of this year, technical inspection of vehicles cost at 10 and 20 manat. Stamp duty for the inspection of motor vehicles, tractors, trailers and other assets increased from 5 to 10 manat. The same amount of the fee established by the change in accounting, vehicle and vehicle inspection at the request of their customers.
Stamp duty for receiving exam for driver licensing has not changed and is 20 manat. However, the re-admission exam set state tax of 10 manats. Provision of the owner of a vehicle with a driver's license or the right to change it costs not 15, but 18 manat. The stamp duty for providing the state sign for vehicle registration increased from 18 to 22 manat. For other vehicles The fee for providing this mark is set at 11 manat.
Licensing, registration of motor vehicles will cost 17, and not 15 manat, as it was before the New Year. For other vehicles to obtain a certificate of registration one has to pay AZN 5. - 08D-

Russia and Iran have agreed on a gas pipeline route passing through Azerbaijan, according to Russia’s Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov. The Russian minister stated that the parties are in the final stage of negotiations, and the volumes have already been determined. According to Tsivilyov, Iran’s agreement with Russia’s Gazprom for gas supply via Azerbaijan is currently estimated at over 2 billion cubic meters annually. However, future supplies could increase to 55 billion cubic meters per year.
