Structural Changes in State-run JSC Azeravtoyol
The state-run JSC Azeravtoyol has undergone structural reforms, according to which of the 110 units 96 have become independent, which will continue their activities in the new organizational-legal form.
Road maintenance and so on departments of Azeravtoyol have been transformed into limited liability companies. The press service of the company told Turan that as part of these reforms seven companies were created and will be engaged in the operation of major highways (Baku - Guba - the state border with Russia, Baku - Alat - Astara - the state border with Iran, Baku - Shamakhi - Muganli, Yevlakh - Zagatala - the state border with Georgia, etc.).
Under the new structure, under JSC Azeravtoyol there are 10 road maintenance companies (RMC) in Baku and 55 LLC in other regions, as well as 10 special function RMC, 10 enterprises for planting protective strips of highways, etc.
On the balance of Azeravtoyol there are 17,529 km of roads, of which 4,385 km are roads of national purpose. Under the occupation of the Armenian armed forces are 267 km of roads. In addition, the company operates 1,299 bridges. -----08D
