Russian President instructed the government to cancel the travel sanctions against Turkey on the basis of a telephone conversation with President Erdogan.
"The Russian leader said he would instruct the government to start negotiations with the relevant Turkish authorities to restore the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and other spheres. It means the removal of restrictive measures regarding the visit of Russian tourists to Turkey," reads the statement on the official website of the Kremlin. Putin noted that Turkish President Erdogan assured that Turkey will ensure the security of Russian citizens in the territory. In addition to lifting the ban on tourism activities with Turkey, Putin instructed the Cabinet to begin the process of normalization of trade and economic relations between the states.--02D-
