Subsidies allocated for 1.43 million hectares of agricultural land
At the regular meeting of the Republican committee on agricultural subsidies under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abbasov July 24 decisions were made on the allocation of subsidies to agricultural producers and companies that have implemented fertilizer at a reduced price.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, grants of land for the cultivation and care of the perennial plants will receive 393,663 agricultural producers. Total compensation costs for the purchase of fuel and motor oil they will receive 57.4 million manat. For every hectare of land subsidy is 40 manat. Money credited to a special plastic card agricultural producers, issued by JSC "Kapital Bank".
In addition, the Commission adopted the fifth meeting in a row this year, the decision to grant the five subjects of grants totaling $ 2.6 million manat. The funds were received by the state-run Agroleasing, and also by LLC Agrokimya, Perviz IKF, Micro Az Feed and I.ER Ltd . These companies sold 10,379 tons of mineral fertilizers to 9,862 farmers and agribusinesses to fertilize 54,234 hectares of land.
Subsidization of agriculture in Azerbaijan carried out from 2006. Since 2007, 50% of the funds for the sale of mineral fertilizers to farmers is subsidized from the state budget. Producers of wheat and rice receive an extra 40 manat for each hectare of land.
In 2013, the state budget for the provision of agricultural subsidies will be allocated 125 million manat, including mineral fertilizers - 25 million manat. On today used about 14.6 bn at the realized volume of mineral fertilizers.
