Ten Gepiks from State for Each Kilogram of Cotton
Baku / 23.09.16 / Turan: The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on state support to cotton development. According to him, for each kilogram of raw cotton sold to processing companies, AZN 0.1 will be provided as subsidy for cotton producers.
The paper was issued to increase public interest in cotton production and to further improve the social well-being, as well as the strengthening of state support for development of cotton growing.
The subsidy also applies to the raw cotton produced and sold to processing enterprises in 2016.
The Cabinet of Ministers is in charge for 15 days to establish the procedure for issuing subsidies to cotton producers for each kilogram of raw cotton.
In 2015, the cotton producers received 40 manats per hectare of land sown under cotton. In general, the amount of the subsidy is 90 AZN / ha. -----08D
