Ministry of Agriculture Works to Improve Industry Subsidy Mechanism
Baku / 23.09.16 / Turan: In the near future the Ministry of Agriculture will present the final draft of the government proposals to change the mechanism of subsidizing the agricultural sector. The Working Group under the Ministry of Agriculture is studying the experience and international practice accumulated since 2007.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the draft will reflect the new procedure of subsidizing cotton production. Subsidization will also cover cotton processors.
The Ministry of Agriculture will present proposals to the government on the subsidy directions and dimensions. It is planned to change the mechanism for issuing subsidies for the use of fuel and motor oil, fertilizers, cultivation of wheat, rice, tobacco, and silkworm cocoon.
It is expected that the subsidy will also depend on the volume of the final product. ------08D
