The number of advisers reduced by two times
Personnel changes in the Ministry of Taxes continue. Last week, Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov dismissed seven of 13 persons from the post of minister counselor. According to the Ministry of Taxes, all the dismissed have been appointed as deputy heads of departments of various structural units. The Adviser to the Minister Alakbar Mammadov was appointed simultaneously the head of the Main Department of International Relations and tax monitoring in financial institutions.
Former Head of Tax Policy and Strategic Research of the Ministry of Taxes, Natig Shirinov, was appointed head of the Taxes Department №1. This department was established on 24 December, 2015, and until the position on it has not been approved yet. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
