The winner of "Eurovision 2013" visiting Azercell
The representative of Azerbaijan at "Eurovision-2013" Farid Mammadov, the runner-up, was a guest at Azercell. In addition to him Azercell Telecom invited to the contest coordinator Azerbaijan Zahra Badalbeyli.
According to a press release from a local mobile operator, Azercell president Cyril Gaburici and employees again congratulated Farid Mammadov on his successful contribution to fostering a culture of Azerbaijan and wished further success. During the discussion, representatives of "Eurovision" answered the questions of the Azercell regarding this competition. After the meeting, Farid Mammadov were given gifts, and take the picture as a keepsake.
It should be noted that Azercell Telecom became the general sponsor of the "Eurovision" contest, which was held in Baku last year. This year's competition was sponsored by a group of telecommunications companies TeliaSonera, which also applies Azercell. On the eve of the competition Azercell organized a number of exciting projects and sent four of its subscribers for the final concert of the contest in the city of Malmo.

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
