President receives co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group
On May 23 President Ilham Aliyev received co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Grop: Igor Popov (Russia), Jacques For (France), John Kelly (USA) and the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman, Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The meeting participants discussed the current situation in the negotiation process and the prospects for resolving the Karabakh conflict.
Co-Chairs will leave Azerbaijan for Armenia. -03D04-

At an opposition rally in Freedom Square in Tbilisi yesterday, Azerbaijani activist Samira Bayramova urged ethnic Azerbaijanis in Georgia to vote for the opposition in the upcoming parliamentary elections, which advocates for Euro-integration. The majority of her speech was in Georgian, but she concluded in Azerbaijani, saying: "Dear Azerbaijanis! On October 26, let us all choose Europe for the future of our country, especially for its diversity and equality," she stated in Azerbaijani.

Tehran Abdullayev, an activist from the Surakhani District branch of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PNFA), has been placed in a detention facility for administrative offenders, his lawyer, Nemat Kerimli, reported after meeting with him on October 21. According to the lawyer, Abdullayev stated that he was detained for his political activities.
