Volume of stock exchange trading in February fell by almost a quarter
Trading volume in the currency section of the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BBVB) in February 2013 was $ 41.277 million and 32.384 million manat.
This is a 24.1% decrease compared to the previous month and by 12.9% - compared to February 2012.
The average volume of each transaction in e-trading system on USD / AZN reached in February of this year $ 1.720 million, the average daily turnover - $ 2.064 million.
Just BBVB auction in February 2013 was attended by nine banks. In the reported month, BEST conducted 40 trading sessions and recorded 24 transactions.
Stock exchange turnover in two months of this year amounted to the equivalent of 75.035 million manat, which is 26.4% less than in the same period last year.
The exchange rate of the national currency in the reporting month, down by 0.04% - from 0.7834 to 0.7837 for 1 USD. The average rate of the U.S. dollar against the manat was in February 2013 0.7845 AZN for 1 USD.
At the end of February 2013 the total volume of trading on the interbank credit market functioning in the framework of BEST, amounted to 2 million manat equivalent
The monthly average interest rate calculated on the basis of requests bank market makers BakIBOR for loans up to 90 days in February 2013 was 11.50% in manats and 12.11% in U.S. dollars. Rate on BakIBID for 90 days was 5.99% per annum in local and 5.63% in U.S. dollars. - 15B -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
