Yanukovich: Ukraine receives about 4 million tons of Azerbaijani oil a year
Ukraine is interested in development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in the gas and oil refining industries, reads the statement posted on the official web site of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, which he made at the informal meeting with the members of the Club of Editor-in Chief of CIS and Baltic countries and Georgia.
“We have been negotiating with our partners from Azerbaijan. We believe that Azerbaijan and Ukraine will benefit from building relationships in the gas and oil refining industries,” Ukrainian President said.
He added that part of this work has been already carried out. Yanukovich added that at present Ukraine receives about 4 million tons of oil a year from Azerbaijan.
Ukrainian President also said that Ukraine is interested in participation in various energy projects, such as construction of the gas transportation systems.—0—
