Azerbaijan Considers Digital Partnership With Palantir

The Government of Azerbaijan, citing the country’s security interests, temporarily suspended on March 5 the movement of cargo trucks through all border crossing points along the Azerbaijan–Iran border, including transit transportation.

President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on Thursday accused Iran of carrying out a drone attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and said the country’s armed forces had been placed on full combat readiness, a move that could further escalate tensions between the two neighboring states.

A regular hearing was held at the Baku Serious Crimes Court, presided over by Judge Aygun Gurbanova, in the case of human rights defender Rufat Safarov.

Azerbaijan is seeking to expand economic cooperation with the United Kingdom beyond the traditional energy sector, focusing increasingly on digital transformation, transport infrastructure and technology investment as part of its broader strategy to diversify the economy and strengthen its role as a regional connectivity hub.
