An Azerbaijani, a member of ISIL, detained in Ankara
Bakı/21.05.17/Turan: On Sunday morning police conducted an operation in Ankara in the area of Etimesgut, and detained a group of people who were preparing the terrorist attack. Two of the suspects were killed while resisting.
The police managed to enter the apartment and destroy the armed men, blowing up the door.
A man on whose car the members of a terrorist group arrived in Ankara was detained. He is a citizen of Azerbaijan, the Mayor of Ankara Erchan Topadja told the "Hürriyyət" newspaper.
"The citizen of Azerbaijan was detained earlier and confessed that he is in ISIL and delivered two terrorists to Ankara. The police conducted the operation this morning and destroyed two people who were preparing the terrorist attack, "said the mayor.
However, Topadja did not mention the name of the detained Azerbaijani, noting that the identity of the murdered terrorists was being clarified.
It is reported that the detained Azerbaijani was questioned in Istanbul. -0-
