Iran Appoints First-Ever Woman Deputy Petroleum Minister
Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh appointed Marziyeh Shahdaei as his deputy and managing director of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
Shahdaei who used to be the NPC director of projects is the first female staff of the ministry promoted to the deputy minister level, reported Shana news agency.
In her appointment letter, the minister referred to the post-sanctions conditions and stressed upgrading of technology, attraction of foreign investment and increase of export. –12D--
