Action of Azerbaijani Political Emigrants in Cologne
Baku / 18.10.19 / Turan: The organization of political emigrants Choose Democratic Azerbaijan (CDA) on October 17 held in Cologne a rally of solidarity with political prisoners in Azerbaijan. The action took place before the editorial offices of Kölnische Rundschau, Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, and Express.
Intigam Khudiyev, one of the organizers of the rally, said the purpose of the rally was to attract German media to the problems of political prisoners in Azerbaijan and, in general, human rights violations in the country.
Protesters condemned the administrative arrests of oppositionists in recent days in Azerbaijan.
The audience also condemned "bureaucratic arbitrariness and lawlessness" in Azerbaijan.
The CDA has recently held actions in various cities of Germany in front of the editorial offices of leading publications in order to focus their attention on the human rights issue in Azerbaijan and the issue of political prisoners.
The campaign under the motto "Support for political prisoners from German journalists" started on June 28.
They have already held actions in a number of cities in Germany. -06D-
