Aliyev announced the holding meetings in the 3+3 format
Baku/07.10.23/Turan: Azerbaijan continues its activities related to the creation of transport corridors in both bilateral and multilateral formats, President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash on October 6.
Noting the importance of the beginning of the construction of a road bridge from the village of Agbend to Iran, Aliyev stressed that the laying of roads and railways connecting Azerbaijan and Iran is of great importance for the region and will serve stability and cooperation in it. The Head of State also noted the importance of developing and further expanding the capacity of the North-South transport corridor.
Stressing the importance of resolving regional issues with the participation of the countries of the region, Aliyev noted in this context that Azerbaijan is the initiator of the 3+3 cooperation format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia + Iran, Russia, Turkey). He regarded the holding meetings in this format in the near future as a "positive step".
Bazrpash, for his part, conveyed congratulations on the reintegration of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and regarded it as a very important event. He noted that after 30 years, justice was ensured against Azerbaijan and the country restored its sovereignty.
He expressed the opinion that peace in the South Caucasus will open up great prospects for the region. ---06B---
