Aliyev announces an agreement with the EU on energy security
Baku/15.07.22/Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that in the near future all issues of a new agreement with the European Union would be agreed upon. “This year we are actively cooperating with the European Union. As you know, we are working on a new agreement. Most of the agreement has been agreed, and issues that have not been agreed are also being discussed. I hope that all issues will be agreed upon in the near future,” he said on July 15 at a meeting dedicated to the results of six months of this year.
Aliyev also noted that intensive contacts with the President of the Council of the European Union are focused primarily on the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations. “However, at the same time, extensive discussions on the further development of relations between the European Union and Azerbaijan are underway. In the coming days, an important document will be signed between the European Union and Azerbaijan - the Energy Security Document, which will raise our cooperation to a higher level.”—0--
