Sumgayit Appeals Court dismissed the complaint of the PFPA youth activist, Dashgin Melikov, who is accused of illegal drug possession.
The complaint was filed in connection with the decision of Sumgayit City Court on March 26 about the arrest of Melikov on March 25, when he was charged under Article 234.1 of the Criminal Code (illegal possession of drugs).
If he is found guilty, he will be imprisoned to three years. PPFA believes that Melikov is persecuted for political reasons for taking part in protest actions and criticism in the social sites.—06D—
