Azerbaijan and Switzerland mutually simplify visa regime
The prospects of the Azerbaijani-Swiss relations were discussed on Monday at a meeting of foreign ministers of the two countries - Elmar Mammadyarov and Didier Burhalter. The Azerbaijani Minister is in Switzerland on an official visit. The sides expressed satisfaction with the level of the active political dialogue between the two countries. There was also a marked potential for deepening economic relations, MFA press office reported. Over 70 Swiss companies are operating in Azerbaijan. In turn, SOCAR is successfully operating in Switzerland.
There were also discussed issues in the fields of education and cooperation in international organizations, in particular, support each other's candidacies. The negotiations resulted in signed agreements on visa facilitation, readmission of persons residing at the territory of both countries without permission.
After the ratification of agreements, the holders of diplomatic and service passports will be able to mutually visit the two countries without visas. There are also simplified visa issuance procedures for other categories of persons. -06D

On November 28, another hearing took place in the case of public activist Ilhamiz Guliyev. During the proceedings, the court reviewed a response from the 28th Police Station of the Yasamal District in Baku. At the previous hearing, the defense had requested that the court obtain footage from the surveillance cameras at this police station, where Guliyev was taken on December 4 of last year. However, the police response stated that the video footage had not been preserved.
