Azerbaijan and the EU May Soon Sign an Agreement on Visa Facilitation
The talks between Azerbaijan and the EU on visa facilitation and readmission have reached an agreement on main issues. This was said at a press conference by the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Roland Kobia.
According to him, in last month consultations, the parties reached an agreement on key issues. "Reconciliation on the details still remain on the 2013 agreement to be signed on visa facilitation," said Kobia.
Visa facilitation will reduce the number of documents required for a visa application, making it possible for multiple-entry visas with long steps, and reducing the cost of visas for certain applicants. In particular, the cost of visas for Azerbaijani citizens may fall by half from the current 60 euros, and some students may be exempted from paying fees for their visas. -06C-
