Azerbaijan can become a bridge for Iran to Europe - Ruhani
Tehran / 14.03.18 / Turan: Iran and Azerbaijan are determined to expand bilateral relations in all directions, and Azerbaijan can become a bridge connecting Iran with Europe, stated the President of Iran Hasan Rukhani receiving on Tuesday the Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev in Tehran.
Referring to his visit to Baku at the end of March, Rukhani expressed the hope that this visit will further strengthen bilateral relations, IRNA reportrd.
"Today, the two countries have good relations in various fields, including industry, pharmaceuticals, automotive, agriculture and tourism, joint steps are being taken to expand relations in other areas, including transit and joint cooperation in the Caspian Sea," he said. .
The Iranian president stressed the need for consultations and cooperation between Iranian and Azerbaijani officials to implement the legal regime of the Caspian Sea and to plan the regulation of joint economic cooperation in the region. According to him, joint investments and the volume of commercial transactions in recent years have been significantly increased.
The Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, in turn, called for the expansion of bilateral relations in the fields of energy, transport, railway, medicine, automotive, health, tourism and cultural and academic relations. -02D-
