Azerbaijan to Simplify Visa Regime with Iran - Zarif
Baku / 15.03.18 / Turan: Azerbaijan is preparing to simplify the visa regime for Iranian citizens. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said this today. According to him, the process of issuing visas will be simplified and the Iranians will be able to obtain visas upon arrival at Baku airport.
He said this at a press conference after the four-sided meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia in Baku.
Pointing to cultural, historical and geographical commonalities between Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, Zarif said: "Such similarities connect the four countries with each other and our cooperation will lead to the establishment of peace and stability in the region."
Recall that Iran canceled the visa regime with Azerbaijan several years ago, like Turkey. But Azerbaijan has not canceled the visa regime for citizens of these countries, except for a small category of persons. -02D-
