Azerbaijani Ambassador Met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister
Azerbaijani Ambassador, Polad Bulbuloglu, met with the State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Grigory Karasin.
As reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting held on the initiative of Ambassador Bulbuloglu, relations between Azerbaijan and Russia were discussed.
However, according to diplomatic sources, during the meeting the Ambassador conveyed to Russia, Azerbaijan's concern over the provocative and inflammatory appeals by LDPR leader, State Duma deputy Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The inflammatory appeals was diredted to Armenians to commit terrorist acts against Azerbaijanis "in retaliation" for the release of officer Ramil Safarov.
Yesterday, the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin, was invited to the Foreign Ministry, where he was handed a note of protest. -06D -

During the 11th meeting of the border delimitation commissions between Azerbaijan and Armenia on January 16, the directions for the delimitation process were determined, the State Commission of Azerbaijan on Border Delimitation and Demarcation with Armenia reported. Ramil Eynaliev, an activist from the Lankaran branch of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PPFA), has been administratively arrested for 30 days on charges of "disobeying the police." According to the PPFA, Eynaliev was detained the day before and taken to the third police station of the Khazar district in Baku. The party believes that the true reason for his arrest is a critical comment he made on social media.
