Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry calls on Armenia for peace and recalls 8 occupied villages
Baku/07.11.23/Turan: Despite Baku's peace initiatives immediately after the end of the war, Armenia chose the path of obstructing negotiations on the conclusion of a peace treaty.
This is stated in the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on the occasion of Victory Day on November 8. "Azerbaijan remains committed to the normalization of relations between the two countries, as well as the reintegration of Armenians living in Karabakh, calls on Armenia to demonstrate a constructive and fair position in the peace process, to correctly understand the realities of the region," the statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reminds that the Armenian side has not liberated 8 villages of Azerbaijan that were captured in the early 90s. After the elimination of the Armenian armed formations and the separatist regime in Karabakh, there are ample opportunities for peace and stability, the statement says.
Added to this can be that these 8 villages are located on the border of the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan and the Idjevan region of Armenia, and a village on the border between Armenia and Nakhchivan. -02D-
