Baku/26.03.22/Turan: The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported on the suppression of an armed attack by the Armenian military in Karabakh in the morning on March 26.
This is said in a report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.
Taking advantage of the fog and limited visibility, the Armenian units tried to launch "another provocation against Azerbaijani army units.
As a result of immediately taken measures, the Armenians were forced to retreat.
The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Russian-Turkish joint monitoring center were informed about the incident.
"There were no casualties among the Azerbaijani army units. The operational situation is under the control of Azerbaijani units," the report says.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense did not specify exactly where it happened.
However, a number of Armenian TV channels on the morning of March 26 reported about "successful attack of Armenian special forces" which allegedly recaptured the Farukh hill, taken by the Azerbaijani armed forces a day earlier.
But some time later, the command of the Armenian formations said that the situation had not changed and that the Azerbaijanis were standing on the positions they had occupied before.
The same source said that the number of Armenians killed during the battle for the Farukh hill reached three. Another one of the 14 servicemen wounded in that battle died.-06B-
