Baku calls conditions of partnership with the EU
Informal dialogue of foreign ministers of member countries of the "Eastern Partnership" of the EU took place on 29 June in Minsk. Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev. As the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the meeting participants discussed the prospects of cooperation after the Riga summit.
Mammadguliyev listed issues on which Baku wants to cooperate with the EU: the movement of people, the creation of the energy and transport communications and trade relations.
He also noted the need for EU support settlement of the Karabakh conflict on the basis of UN Security Council resolutions and other international organizations, taking into account the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
According to Mammadguliyev, Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with the EU on an equal basis.
Informal dialogue of foreign ministers of the "Eastern Partnership" is held alternately in the capitals of these countries. Previous meeting took place on September 9, 2014 in Baku. -06D-
