Baku discusses the «road map» to overcome the crisis in the country
On Saturday The Center for Strategic Thought (CST) headed by the ex-chairman of the opposition Musavat Party submitted a "Road Map to Opportunities from Crisis."
The discussion took place in the headquarters of the Musavat Party, with participation of the party functionaries, as well as experts and public figures, members of the CST.
The roadmap includes eight strategic directions to take Azerbaijan out of the socio-economic and socio-political crisis.
Social strategy includes a range of measures from helping the poor to reduce unemployment, solving the problem of population loans.
Urgent economic measures include the fight against corruption, creation of a safe business environment and free economy.
Urgent policy measures include the release of political prisoners, the restoration of freedom and the creation of conditions for the free activity of political and public organizations and the media.
The foreign policy provides fulfillment of international obligations, integration into the Euro-Atlantic community, the WTO.
It is proposed to create immediately a committee to prepare a new version of the Constitution, and to hold in spring of this year the constitutional referendum; to hold in autumn 2016 early parliamentary elections; to nominate early presidential elections for 2017.
Isa Gambar said that the implementation of the ideas of the road map creates a real opportunity for the centenary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, which will be marked in 2018, to introduce an updated country to a democratic branch of history. -0-
