Journalist Natig Javadli interrogated in the prosecutor’s office
On 6 February a journalist Natig Javadli was questioned in the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan. The interrogation lasted about two hours and was associated with the activity of the Meydan TV website for which the journalists worked, Turan was told by Javadli. The journalist was asked to sign subscription of not divulging the secrets of the investigation.
On 5 February the General Prosecutor's Office interrogated two other journalists cooperating with Meydan TV - Sevinj Vagifgyzy and Aytaj Akhmedova. Last fall the journalists of Meydan TV were seriously questioned in the prosecutor's office. Then the relatives of the resource managers who are abroad were arrested.
Observers note that the activity of this Internet resource which is actively covering the protests and publishing journalistic investigation has long irritated the authorities of Azerbaijan.

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
