Blogger Receives Response to His Complaint of Election Irregularities
Baku / 31.12.19 / Turan: Blogger Mehman Huseynov received an official response from the district election commission (DEC) of the 31st Surakhany district to his complaint of violations during local elections in the Garachukhur settlement municipality.
From the answer it follows that the blogger himself committed the violation.
Huseynov said this to the Turan agency.
“Immediately after the election, I sent a complaint to the DEC. I pointed out that on the election day ballot stuffing took place, so-called carousels were organized, voters who came from other areas voted, in some polling stations the vote count was not completed and the members of the commissions left. I submitted photos and videos. I demanded the cancellation of the officially announced results,” Huseynov said.
However, the response received by the blogger states that the facts presented by him have not been confirmed.
“Moreover, they accuse me of stuffing, «carousels», and bringing in voters from other districts with the aim of falsification,” Huseynov said.
Now he intends to submit the materials he has to the prosecutor's office.
“Those who committed lawlessness fell into the photo and video. Let the prosecutor's office investigate these facts and punish those responsible,” the blogger said.
It was not possible to get comments from the DEC or the CEC. — 06D--
