British diplomats in Nakhchivan
The employees of the British Embassy in Azerbaijan headed by the Deputy Ambassador Stephen McCormick are visiting to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR).
According to the regional correspondent of Turan, British diplomats, in addition to meetings with government officials, held discussions with representatives of the opposition.
In particular, they met with the heads of regional organizations, the Popular Front Party and "Musavat" - Yashar Bagirsoy and Sabir Veliyev.
According to Bagirsoy, the meeting discussed the socio-political and socio-economic situation in the NAR, the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan and autonomy, the problem of political prisoners.
